Author Guidelines
PN JOURNAL: The Priority Nursing Journal accepts manuscripts in the form of original articles of research papers in the field of nursing studies that have not been or are being processed for publication in other journals. The manuscript is in English and sent or submitted in the form of an MS Word file to the OJS Priority Nursing Journal. The guidelines for writing journals are as follows:
The manuscript is written in A4 (single column), Georgian font, font size of 11 points, and 1.0 spaces. Maximum 15 pages in one article. Each page is numbered in order, from the title page to the last one. Component articles include article title, author, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Recommendations, Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, Conflicts of Interest, References. - The title is written in English for a maximum of 15 words. The title should be clear, concise, and engaging.
- Abstract write a maximum of 250 words in English using Georgian 10.5 points, 1.0 spaces. The abstract contains an introduction (1-2 sentences), research objectives (1 sentence), material and methods (3-5 sentences), research results (3-5 sentences), conclusions (1 sentence) made in one (1) sentence.
- Keywords of at least 3 words maximum of 5 words (capital letters only on the first keyword, separated by commas, and not ending with a period on the last keyword).
- The introduction contains the urgency and background of the research that describes the problems with the inverted pyramid method ranging from global, national and local. List references (relevant literature or research results) using multiple sources (IEEE superscripts) on each sentence after the period (.) The number of pages in the introduction is 1-1.5 pages written using Georgia 11 points (upright) with a space of 1.0. Each paragraph begins with words indented into five digits. The last part of the introduction should state the purpose of the research.
- Materials and Methods explain the types of research, location and time of research, population and sample, sampling techniques, data collection techniques, data analysis, and data presentation. Research using tools and materials, it is necessary to write down the specifications of the equipment and materials used. Qualitative research such as case studies, phenomenology, ethnography, and others, needs to be added to the description of checking the validity of research results. In the final paragraph of the material and method, the author must write an ethical clearance. Write using Georgia 11 points (upright) with 1.0 spacing. - The results describe the characteristics of the subjects, including univariate, bivariate, and multivariate (if any) analyses. Each table or figure should have a narrative interpretation of the results and place them in front of the table or figure. Write using Georgia 11 points (upright) with 1.0 spacing. The paragraph begins with words that overhang into 5 digits.
- The discussion contains the interpretation of research results, connecting the research results with relevant theory, literature, and previous findings. Discussions are not repetitive outcomes. Aspirations of insight are universal, preferably sourced on an international scale rather than on a national scale, and do not originate from the relevant university environment because they are considered to have very local aspirations. Writing on results and discussions ± 55% of the total pages. Write using Georgia 11 points (upright) with 1.0 spacing. The paragraph begins with words that overhang into 5 digits.
- Conclusions and recommendations contain a summary, description, results, and discussion with reference to the research objectives. Suggestions are based on the findings of research that have been discussed. Suggestions can refer to practical actions, the development of new theories, and or studies. Write conclusions and recommendations for the use of Georgia 11 points (upright) with 1.0 spacing. Paragraphs start with words indented into 5 digits and should not use periods or numbers. Shown in 1-2 paragraphs.
- Acknowledgments if necessary thanks can be given to 1) the parties to provide financial assistance and support, 2) the support of sections and institutions, 3) the professionals who contributed to the preparation of the research.
- Author Contributions to research articles with multiple authors, short paragraphs that define each author's contribution.
- Conflict of Interest states a conflict of interest or states "The author declares that there is no conflict of interest." The author should identify and state any circumstances or personal interests that may be deemed inappropriately affecting the representation or interpretation of the reported research results.
- Bibliographic references are written in accordance with the "IEEE style" writing rules. All references used in writing in the bibliography are numbered according to the appearance of the article, not alphabetically. Include only used and relevant literature. Reference sources of at least 30% in the form of literature published 10 years. Reference sources in the form of journal articles published in the last 5 years are at least 70% of the total bibliography. The reference used is a primary source in the form of research articles in journals or research reports, books, or articles linked from official sources. Articles that have been published in PN JOURNAL: Priority Nursing Journal are recommended for use as reference. To maintain consistency in the way you refer, cite, and write bibliographies, we recommend using standard referencing apps such as CiteUlike, Endnote, Mendeley, Refman, RefWorks, or Zotero.
