FACTORS INFLUENCING BEHAVIOR DISPOSAL OF WASTE AMONG STUDENTS OF SDIT MADANI AL - MUJAHIDIN

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors that influence the behavior of throwing garbage among elementaryschool students, emphasizing the importance of environmental cleanliness and character formation froman early age. Using a quantitative approach with analytic survey and cross-sectional design, data werecollected through questionnaires from elementary school students to measure their knowledge, attitudes,and perceptions toward the environment, as well as their waste disposal behaviors. Data analysis wasconducted using descriptive statistics and bivariable analysis, including chi-square tests, to identifyrelationships between these variables. The findings are expected to provide valuableinformation for schools, parents, and government in designing effective interventions to enhanceawareness and positive behavior of students toward waste management, thereby creating cleaner,healthier, and more comfortable school environments.
