Abstract
Musculoskeletal disorders are a group of disorders that attack the muscles, tendons, and nerves caused by a person's work, another cause of musculoskeletal disorders is the work process that is carried out repeatedly, takes a long time with non-ergonomic work postures. In addition, the cause of musculoskeletal disorders is the mismatch between equipment, people, and work processes so that humans do work with non-neutral and ergonomic positions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the position and length of sitting of bank employees with complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) at Bank Indonesia. This study uses descriptive research design with cross sectional method. The sample amounted to 49 respondents with the sampling technique, namely total sampling because the population was less than 100. Data processing used in this study is the chi square test. Based on the results of the study, more than half of the respondents with high complaints of musculoskeletal disorders were 31 people (63.3%), almost half of the respondents with a leaning sitting position were 19 people (38.8%), almost half of the respondents with a sitting duration of 360-540 minutes were 17 people (34.7%), there is a relationship between sitting position with musculoskeletal disorders in employees at the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia of West Sumatra Province, and there is a relationship between sitting duration with musculoskeletal disorders in employees at the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia.
