Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the work motivation of lecturers in conducting research and community service. Work motivation is a crucial aspect in supporting lecturers' performance, particularly in carrying out the tri dharma of higher education. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method conducted among lecturers from various faculties at a specific university. Data were collected using a questionnaire that measures both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, as well as factors such as facilities, institutional support, incentives, and career development. The results show that intrinsic motivation, such as the desire to contribute to the development of knowledge and society, is the primary factor in carrying out research and community service. Additionally, incentives and institutional recognition play a significant role in enhancing the extrinsic motivation of lecturers. This study is expected to provide recommendations for universities to improve support for lecturers in carrying out their tri dharma tasks, particularly in research and community service.
