This quality service is expected to reduce the maternal and child mortality rates that still occur today. Reporting patient safety incidents not only plays an important role in ensuring the quality of services but also serves as the main foundation in the organization's learning process and internal improvement within the hospital. The aim of this study is to understand the reporting dimension in the implementation of a patient safety culture in pre-postpartum and perinatology wards. This study combines a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. The quantitative method uses the AHRQ (Agency for Health Research and Quality) questionnaire, while the qualitative method employs in-depth interviews. This study involved 52 nurses working in pre-postpartum and perinatology wards. The results showed a positive response of 17.3% in the reporting dimension of the patient safety culture. Based on the interviews, one of the issues hindering the implementation of the patient safety program is the lack of adequate reporting on patient safety incidents, the absence of a good reporting system, a high blaming culture, lack of management support, very slow or lengthy case reporting, and insufficient financial support. The final results of reporting, analysis, and evaluation are limited to internal analysis and evaluation within the hospital. Recommendations from this study include strengthening the safety culture through patient safety training for all staff and continuous monitoring and evaluation of each patient safety program conducted.
Wice Suci, Erika, Widia Lestari, Nurhannifah Rizky T, Riamin Maria Copyright (c) 2024 Wice Suci, Erika, Widia Lestari, Nurhanifah Riski T, Riamin Maria https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.payungnegeri.ac.id/index.php/healthcare/article/view/458 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 07:23:43 +0000 Parenting Patterns with Smoking Behavior and Youth Teams in Tanggeran Village https://jurnal.payungnegeri.ac.id/index.php/healthcare/article/view/443
The percentage of teenagers aged ≥ 15 years who smoke in Central Java is ranked 10th with a percentage of 28.72 percent in 2023. OECD countries on average invest 6-8% of their total health budget in the development of emergency facilities and services. Meanwhile, in less developed countries, investment for emergencies is less than 2%. Efforts to improve the quality of emergency unit services are very important and strategic to carry out considering their very vital function, namely saving the lives of emergency patients. Data also shows that the quality of service achieved by emergency department health workers in many hospitals is still low, including South Sumatra. If this problem is ignored, there is a risk of increasing patient morbidity and mortality due to poor quality of emergency services. This research aims to analyze the services of emergency department health workers on patient satisfaction at Bayung Lencir Regional Hospital, MUBA Regency in 2024. This research was conducted in February-March 2024. The design of this research was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The purpose of this research is to determine the analysis of compliance with the use of personal protective equipment among cleaning service officers at Palembang BARI Hospital, Palembang City in 2024. Method: This research is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The sample was 56 cleaning service officers at Palembang BARI Hospital, Palembang City. Analysis uses univariate, bivariate methods with the chi-square test, and multivariate analysis. Results: Compliance in the use of PPE is related to the availability of adequate PPE and K3 standards. There is a relationship between compliance with the use of PPE and gender, knowledge, attitudes, availability of PPE, and supervision. However, there is no relationship between compliance and age, education, length of service, comfort of PPE, training, and regulations. The results of multivariate analysis show that the most dominant variable is the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) with an OR of 28.75. This means that respondents who stated that there was no availability of PPE were 28.75 times more likely to be non-compliant with the use of PPE compared to respondents who stated that there was availability of PPE. Conclusion: Availability and easy access to obtain PPE can increase compliance with its use.

Mulyadi Copyright (c) 2024 Mulyadi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.payungnegeri.ac.id/index.php/healthcare/article/view/453 Mon, 22 Jul 2024 04:30:08 +0000 Analysis of the Implementation of Hygiene and Sanitation in the Modern Square Lahat Traditional Market https://jurnal.payungnegeri.ac.id/index.php/healthcare/article/view/442
Market sanitation is an important aspect to achieve a healthy market.
