Abstract
Management of medical and non-medical waste in hospitals is very important for the comfort and cleanliness of hospitals because it can break the chain of transmission of infectious diseases, especially nosocomial infections.This research is a Quasi Experiment. The sample of experiment is 5 liquid waste sample. This sampling technique is using purposive sampling. This research was conducted in May-June 2023.The results of the study are based on the results of laboratory tests at BTKLPP class 1 Palembang from 5 samples and 4 parameters pH, TSS, Phosphate while those that did not meet the requirements were 2 samples in total coliform because they exceeded the quality standard limits set by the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 68 of 2016.It can be concluded from 5 samples and 4 parameters pH, TSS, Phosphate and Coliform that meet the requirements in accordance with the quality, while those that do not meet the requirement is that there are 2 samples in total coliform because it exceeds the quality standard limit set by Permen LHK No. 68 of 2016. It is hoped that the hospital should need to add an indicator tub and fish in the tub, so they can find out whether the results of waste management the hospital does not contain toxic and radioactive chemicals, before being discharged into the environment around the hospital.
