Generasi Sehat Tanpa Rokok : Penyuluhan dan pendampingan Anti Merokok untuk Siswa SMP 3 Siak Hulu - Kampar

Abstract

Smoking among adolescents is a growing health concern, particularly in the school environment. Smoking behavior at an early age not only impacts physical health but also impacts academic achievement, the social environment, and the future of the younger generation. This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding of the dangers of smoking through an educational approach and ongoing mentoring. The program was implemented at SMP 3 Siak Hulu using interactive outreach methods, educational video screenings, group discussions, and short counseling sessions. This activity involved students in grades 7 through 9 and teachers as supervisors. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' knowledge about the negative impacts of smoking and a collective commitment to creating a smoke-free school environment. Furthermore, post-outreach mentoring helped students develop a critical attitude toward social pressures that encourage smoking. It is hoped that this activity will be the first step in shaping a generation that is more aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle without smoking and strengthens the role of schools as smoke-free zones.
