Pelaksanaan Kelas Edukasi Tentang Pencegahan Kehamilan Pada Remaja Di SMP N 11 Pekanbaru

Teenage pregnancy is a crucial issue in Indonesia that has a negative impact on health, social, and economic aspects. As a response to this problem, a community service program has been implemented in the form of educational classes on teenage pregnancy prevention at SMP N 11 Pekanbaru. This activity aims to increase students' knowledge and awareness about reproductive health, the risks of promiscuity, and ways to prevent pregnancy at an early age. The methods used were interactive counseling, discussion, and question and answer, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The activity was conducted for 2 days for 100 minutes per session on May 19-20, 2025. The participants were 30 students of class VIII. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in the participants' knowledge level after attending the education class. The average post-test knowledge score (87.5) was much higher than the pre-test score (57.7).  The average post-test attitude score (86.4) was significantly higher than the pre-test score (49.9). This indicates that an educational program that is structured and delivered with the right method is effective in increasing adolescents' understanding. It is hoped that similar activities can continue to be implemented on an ongoing basis to equip the younger generation with adequate knowledge.
